Hear ye, hear ye! Mo’s is happy to present the annual Madisonville Student Art Competition! This year, the Town of Madisonville will be sponsoring two student competitions in an annual memorial of former Madisonville Mayor Peter L. Gitz. The Art Competition is open to students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grades, and the Essay Competition is open to students in the Tenth Grade. Both competitions are open to Home-Schooled students and to all St. Tammany Parish students enrolled in Parochial, Private or Public Schools.

What art is eligible for the competition? Paintings, Drawings, and Photographs themed to architecture, flora, fauna, and landscapes may be submitted! Enter for a chance to win your very own Mo’s Art Supply gift certificates!!

The deadline for submission is Wednesday, August 21st at the Madisonville Library at 1123 Main St, Madisonville, LA 70447. Student artwork will be displayed during the weeks of August 23rd through September 7th at the Madisonville Library, also known as the Mayor Peter L. Gitz Library. An Award Ceremony, planned for Thursday, September 12th from 6 p.m. until 7:15 p.m., will also be held in the large Conference Room at the Madisonville Library.
